Six great rides through beautiful Southwestern Pennsylvania — ride for miles on tree-lined country roads; unhampered by traffic, free to enjoy the ever-changing scenery that unfolds before you; encounter herds of deer, flocks of turkeys, grouse, pheasants, and great blue herons. Public Trails within Greene County:
If you like walking, running, or biking, you're enjoy each of our trails throughout Greene County. The Greene River Trail is a 5.1 mile trail that follows the path of the Monogahela River, ideal for walking, running and biking (no motor vehicles are permitted). The Warrior Trail that was used for over 5,000 years by Native Americans for flint and fur trading, hunting, and warfare—with a large section of the trail's 67-mile length passing through Greene County. Then we have the 11-miles of trails at Ryerson Station State Park where hikers are able to witness large numbers of different habitats, from open fields and mature forests, to marshy valleys and evergreen plantations. Plus Greensboro Borough has 1.5-miles of bituminous and concrete paved urban hiking and kibing trail that extends from the Mon View Park through Greensboro Borough to the historic Lockmaster's House.
