  • April 30, 2010 — NOTICE TO ALL REGISTERED VOTERS
    A voting system is on display from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, in the Elections Office, 93 E. High Street, 1st Floor, Waynesburg, PA. Feel free to come in and test drive the voting machine to familiarize yourself with its easy-to-use touch screen system and to review the ballots that will be used at the May 18 primary election for Greene County.

  • March 5, 2010 Elections Office to Cast Lots — to determine ballot position in the primary March 17 and absentee ballots must be returned by May 11. The board will next meet May 13 after the commissioners' meeting in the first floor conference room of Greene County Office Building.


  • MARCH 5, 2010 Polling Place Change — The Board of Elections changed a polling place in the Jefferson 4 precinct from Mezan's Garage to Hirosky's Garage. For additional information or questions, contact the Elections Office at 724-852-5230.


  • MARCH 4, 2010 Commissioner Pam Snyder resigned from the Election Board — because she is a candidate for state representative. Greene County Judge Farley Toothman replaced her on the board. The two other commissioners, Coder and Archie Trader, also serve on the election board.


  • FEBRUARY 18, 2010 Murtha Seat to be Filled During Primary — The special election to fill the unexpired term of U.S. Rep. John Murtha, who died Feb. 8 of complications from gall bladder surgery, will be held simultaneously with the May 18 primary election.


  • FEBRUARY 17, 2010 Candidates May Now Circulate Nomination Petitions for County Party Committee Offices — Greene County residents interested in running for county Democratic and Republican committee offices may now circulate and file candidates’ nomination petitions. The last day to file nomination petitions with the Greene County Office of Elections and Voter Registration is Tuesday, March 9.


  • MAY 13, 2009 ELECTIONS OFFICE ANNOUNCES POLLING PLACE CHANGES
    WAYNESBURG, PA – Two polling place changes will be in effect during Tuesday’s primary election, according to the county elections office. The Perry Township precinct polling place has permanently moved to the Senior Citizens’ Center at 303 Mt. Morris Road in Mt. Morris. The polling place for the Greensboro Borough precinct has temporarily moved to the Log Cabin at the corner of Front and County streets in Greensboro.   • VOTER IDENTIFICATION -- New Federal and State laws require voters who appear to vote in an election district for the first time to provide election officials with proof of identification.
