Providers of sportfishing and aquatic resource education programming will receive funding to cover the costs of safety equipment, educational materials, field trips, class supplies, transportation and travel expenses, reimbursements to substitute teachers, meeting space rental costs, and registration fees.
e-FUND SCHOOL GRANT PROGRAM DEADLINE: must be postmarked and submitted by 2:00 p.m. on October 23, 2009 The purpose of this program is to support school entities to promote and accelerate broadband deployment. Priority is given to applicants that seek funds for discounted broadband services, or for broadband infrastructure, facilities, or equipment from local exchange telecommunications companies that contribute to the E-Fund.
AVAILABLE OF FUNDS FOR JUVENILE PROSECUTION AND DEFENSE CAPACITY BUILDING DEADLINE: must be postmarked and submitted by 11:59 pm on July 24, 2009 The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Provention of the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD) announces the availablility of $1,650,000 in federal American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funds allocated to support the addition of both full-time and part-time assistant public defenders and assistant district attorneys to process juvenile cases, resulting in more efficient and cost-effective case management and improved functioning of the juvenile justice system.
FIRE STATION CONSTRUCTION GRANT (SCG) PROGRAM DEADLINE: no later than 5:00 pm, Eastern Time on July 10, 2009 The ARRA is an economic stimulus package that was designed to jumpstart the U.S. economy, create or save millions of jobs, and put a down payment on addressing long-neglected challenges nationally. Funds received under this Act are intended to support these goals, and unprecedented levels of transparency, oversight, and accountability are required of the expenditure of Act dollars.
The purpose of the FY 2009 ARRA SCG is to create or save jobs in recession-hit areas and achieve other purposes stated in ARRA, and achieve AFG goals of firefighter safety and improved response capability/capacity based on need through the construction, renovation or modification of fire stations.
PEDA FUNDING OFFER DEADLINE: May 29, 2009 by 4:00 PM The Pennsylvania Energy Development Authority (PEDA) is offering funding for innovative, advanced energy projects, and for businesses interested in locating or expanding their alternative energy manufacturing or production operations in the commonwealth. PEDA will consider projects such as the manufacturing of alternative energy or energy efficiency equipment or materials; the development of innovative new alternative energy or energy efficiency technologies; the generation of alternative energy or the production of alternative fuels; or the implementation of energy efficiency/demand side projects.
