April 1, 2008 County receives money for West Nile Virus surveillance -- As warmer weather approaches, the Greene County Conservation District will begin gearing up its mosquito monitoring and control program in an effort to combat the threat of the West Nile virus.
USDA Initiative Benefits Farmers and TSPs -- Pennsylvania farmers and Technical Service Providers (TSPs) will now have an opportunity to work together to develop a Comprehensive Nutrient Management Plans (CNMPs) under a new USDA initiative.
NRCS Funds Innovative Project in Pennsylvania -- NRCS has awarded the Pennsylvania Environmental Council $212,048 to fund an innovative project designed to use excess manure for mine reclamation and biofuel production in Schuylkill County.
