PENNSYLVANIA ENVIROTHON CHALLENGE:
Envirothon is a fun, academic event. It challenges high school students to think critically about the natural world and their role in it. Envirothon combines in-class curriculum and outdoor training helping students to learn more about Aquatic Ecology, Forestry, Soil & Land Use, Wildlife, and Current Environmental Issues.
  • Senior Envirothons — This is a fun, academic event where high school students compete in environmental topics. It is the only one in the nation that challenges students to think critically about the natural world and their role in it. The teens who participate in these events will develop the necessary skills to face the adult problems of finding a balance between economic development and preservation and conservation of our natural resources.

  • Junior Envirothons — The Junior Envirothon is very similar to the Senior Envirothon and is for students in 6th through 8th grades. This event gives middle school students the opportunity to work together in teams, gain environmental literacy, problem solve, and meet students from other Greene County School Districts.
