December 29, 2011 — Incumbent Dave Balint took the Oath of Office for County Controller after running unopposed in both the 2011 primary and general elections; the office of County Controller is a 4-year term. Dave was elected to the office of County Controller in the November 2007 general elections; followed by his swearing into office on January 7, 2008 along with other elected officials.
In August 2004, Dave was selected as Director of Audit for Greene County. He also continued to fulfill the position and duties of First Deputy to the Controller which he assumed in January 2004.
Active in the community, Balint volunteers as the vice president of the Corner Cupboard Food Bank and as a firefighter with the Waynesburg-Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Department. He is a member and former treasurer and trustee of Washington Street United Methodist Church. He also is a member of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Pennsylvania State Association of County Controllers, Waynesburg Masonic Lodge and the Waynesburg Moose Lodge.

Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from Waynesburg College majoring in Accounting with a minor in Business Management.
Certified Public Accountant licensed to practice in Pennsylvania.

As Controller, Dave is the chief accountant of the county whose primary duties include supervising fiscal affairs, accounts payable and auditing all county row offices and departments. The controller also serves as a member of the salary, retirement and prison boards. As Controller, Dave works closely with the county Treasurer and Chief Clerk.
A native of Greene County, Balint lives in Waynesburg with his wife, Kayla, and their son, Beau.
