Lee Watson has presided over eastern Greene County since 1996. He was again re-elected to office in the November 2007 general elections; making his third term in office. Mr. Watson was sworn in officially again on January 7, 2008 with other elected officials.
In June 2005, Magistrate Watson was certified for service after completing continuing legal-education course work. District Judge Lee Watson attended the school for district judges in Chambersburg; the week-long course is designed to ensure that district judges remain current in a variety of legal topics and management techniques needed to fairly adjudicate cases and effectively run an office. More recently (May 2006), Mr. Watson was re-certified for service after successfully completing continuing legal education course work, conducted by the Minor Judiciary Education Board and the Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts, the school for district judges held in Chambersburg.
