Ms. Laur has served as Greene County's Republican Jury Commissioner since 1984. She has a Bachelor of Science Degee in Business Education from Penn State University and a Master's Degee in Education from the University of Pittsburgh. She has worked in the private business sector and taught business education for 18 years.
She was a Republican committee woman for 18 years, representing Aleppo Township. Within the Republican Party, whe has been Vice Chairman and Secretary.
Laur is a member of the Valley Chapel United Methodist Church in Holbrook where she serves as treasurer. She is a member and the librarian of the John Corbly Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, a member of the Greene Academy Dulcimer Players, and through the years has been involved in various community activities. She also is a member of the Pennsylvania Association of Jury Commissioners.
Laur lives on a 165-acre farm in Aleppo Township where she raises feeder cattle, donkeys and horses. She has one son, Howard Jr., and twin grandchildren, Howard III and Catherine.
