About our County Law Library:
The Greene County Law Library is housed on the second floor of the courthouse. To access the law library, see the court administrator in Room 218 on the second floor of the courthouse.
The Greene County Law Library is designed to assist the Court, Greene County Bar Association attorneys and County employees in obtaining access to legal information. Local attorneys may borrow books for a two-week period. The public may use the facilities; however, they may not borrow materials. A photocopier is available for public use.
The law librarian is permitted to assist the public in locating materials in performing their own legal research. However, under Pennsylvania law, the Law Librarian IS NOT permitted to interpret the law or give legal advice on how to proceed in a Court of Law. All law library materials are available to be checked out except Purdonís Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes Annotated.
The Bar Association:
The Pennsylvania Bar Association a partner for attorneys in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, offering assistance and resources in the legal arena. The County Bar Services Department is the PBA liaison with local bar associations throughout the commonwealth. It is responsible for county bar malpractice avoidance, Stepping Out and In-firm Malpractice Avoidance programs.

Greene County Local Court Rules and History These are local rules for the Court of Common Pleas of Greene County, Pennsylvania, 13th Judicial District, promulgated in accordance with Pa.R.C.P. 239, 42 Pa.C.S.A. They shall apply to all offices within the Greene County Court system unless specifically indicated otherwise.
Greene County Rule of Judicial Administration Financial records of the Unified Judicial System in the possession or control of the Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts are presumed to be open to any member of the public for inspection or copying during established business hours.
