December 29, 2011 Incumbent Susan Karley White took the Oath of Office for County Prothonotary after running unopposed in both the 2011 primary and general elections; making this Susan's forth term as County Prothonotary. Click here for ceremonial photo.
White began her first term as County Prothonotary on January 1, 2000; was re-elected in the November 2003 Municipals Elections for her second term, again in the in the 2008 for her third four-year term.
As Prothonotary, Susan is in charge of the civil dividion of the Court of Common Pleas, which is responsible for recording and keeping all records, including custody, protection from abuse, divorce, property disputes and other matters relating to the civil division of the court.
Susan was responsible for updating the filing system and securing several grants in the office for preservation of the naturalization records and other important older documents which are on file in her office.
Susan is a member of the First Church of the Nazarene of Waynesburg, the board of directors of CBM Ministries, the auxiliary of the Gideons International and the Pennsylvania Association of Prothonotaries and Clerks of Court.
Susan and her husband Mike reside in Waynesburg; they have one son currently in college pursuing a career in education.
