WOOL QUEEN COMPETITION
The Greene County Fair will once again host the Wool Queen Competition, to be held at 7:00 p.m on August 8, 2011 at the Greene County Fairgrounds. A contestant must be a resident of Pennsylvania, be at least 16 years old, but may not have passed her 22nd birthday as of January 1, 2011.
To participate, the contestant must either own sheep, be from an active sheep-producing farm, or have carried a 4-H or FFA sheep project in 2010, and be a member in good standing with the PA Sheep & Wool Growers Association.
The Greene County Wool Queen is eligible to enter the competition for the state contest in October. The queen is expected to participate in any event in Greene County relating to sheep and wool.

Confirmation of intention to enter the contest must be received by August 1.
