Commissioner Coder called the Greene County Prison Board Meeting to order at noon at the Corner Cupboard Foodbank. Others in attendance were: Commissioner Snyder, Commissioner Trader, Warden Gillispie, Judge Nalitz, Cheryl Cowen, Gene Lee and Members of the Press.
MOTIONS:
Commissioner Snyder made the motion and Commissioner Trader the second to approve the minutes from November 18, 2009 meeting. Vote unanimous.
Commissioner Snyder made the motion and Commissioner Trader the second to approve a one year contract effective January 1, 2010 with Riley’s Barbershop to cut hair at a cost of $9.00 per head and an additional $4.00 per heard to trim beards. The cost will be paid by the inmate. Vote unanimous.
SECURITY:
Continue to house female inmates from Fayette County.
Continue to negotiate with the Department of Corrections concerning the housing of state inmates.
MAINTENANCE: General maintenance is being completed by the County Maintenance Staff as needed.
TRAINING: No training has taken place since the last meeting.
FINANCIAL REPORT:
Deposits totaling $4,449.00 were deposited with the Greene County Treasurers office for work release and weekend inmates.
Fayette County owes $7,560.00 for November inmate housing.
