NOVEMBER 18, 2009 - PRISON BOARD MEETING NOTES

Commissioner Coder called the Greene County Prison Board meeting to order at 11:45 am in the first floor meeting room of the County Office Building. Others in attendance were: Commissioner Snyder, Commissioner Trader, Chief Clerk Gene Lee, Warden Gillispie, Sue Haxton, Marge Fox, Dave Balint, Cheryl Cowen, Judge Nalitz, Craig Wise and Members of the Press.

MOTIONS: Commissioner Snyder made the motion and Commissioner Trader the second to approve the minutes from October 21, 2009. Vote unanimous.

SECURITY:
  1. Continue to house female inmates from Fayette County.
  2. Continue to negotiate with the Department of Corrections concerning the housing of state inmates.
MAINTENANCE: General day to day maintenance is being completed by the maintenance staff.

TRAINING: No training has taken place since the last meeting.

FINANCIAL REPORT:
  1. Deposits totaling $3,378.00 were deposited with the Greene County Treasurers office for work release and weekend inmates.
  2. Fayette County owes $7,020.00 for October inmate housing.

GENERAL DISCUSSION:
  1. Discussion with Attorney Hook regarding the County Intermediate Punishment Plan and the fact that it does not include driving under the influence. The plan was implemented in 1990. Commissioner Snyder made the motion and Commissioner Trader the second for Judge Nalitz and Craig Wise to review and revise the County Intermediate Punishment Plan and bring back to the Prison Board for consideration. Vote unanimous.
  2. The next Prison Board meeting will be held at noon on Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at the Corner Cupboard Food Bank.
ADJOURNMENT: Commissioner Snyder made the motion and Commissioner Trader the second to adjourn the meeting. Vote unanimous.
