Commissioner Trader called the Greene County Prison Board to order at 11:45 am in the first floor meeting room of the County Office Building. Others in attendance were: Commissioner Snyder, Commissioner Morris, Warden Gillispie, Deputy Warden Haxton, Dave Balint, Marge Fox, Sheriff Ketchem, Gene Lee and Members of the Press.
MOTIONS:
Commissioner Snyder made the motion and Sheriff Ketchem the second to elect Commissioner Trader as Chairman of the Prison Board. Vote unanimous.
Commissioner Snyder made the motion and Controller Balint the second to elect Commissioner Morris as Vice Chairman of the Prison Board. Vote unanimous.
Commissioner Snyder made the motion and Marge Fox the second to approve the minutes from July 14, 2010. Vote unanimous.
SECURITY:
The air conditioning unit in G block has been repaired.
The dishwasher has been repaired.
TRAINING:
No training has been taken since the last meeting.
FINANCIAL REPORT:
Deposits totaling $3,582.00 have been deposited with the Greene County Treasurers office for work release and weekend inmates.
TOTAL 136 (This includes 42 Fayette County inmates)
GENERAL DISCUSSION:
Commissioner Snyder made the motion and Sheriff Ketchum the second to raise the daily inmate rental fee from $45.00 a day to $50.00 a day. Vote unanimous.
PUBLIC COMMENT:
The next Prison Board Meeting will be held Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at noon at the Corner Cupboard Food Bank.
ADJOURNMENT:
Commissioner Snyder made the motion and Marge Fox the second to adjourn the meeting. Vote unanimous.
