The Greene County Prison Board meeting was called to order by Commissioner Trader at noon in the Corner Cupboard Foodbank. Others in attendance: Commissioner Snyder, Commissioner Morris, Warden Gillispie, Deputy Warden Susan Haxton, Sheriff Ketchem, District Attorney Fox, Chief Clerk Jeff Marshall, Charlotte Popielarcheck and Members of the Press.
MOTIONS:
Sheriff Ketchem made the motion and Commissioner Morris the second to approve the minutes from August 24, 2011. Vote unanimous.
SECURITY:
Six new part time Corrections Officers were hired effective September 1, 2011.
Continue to house inmates for Fayette County.
MAINTENANCE:
New industrial washer was purchased to replace the one that was installed in 2002. This was paid for from the inmate welfare fund.
Day to day maintenance is being completed by the maintenance staff.
FINANCIAL REPORT:
Deposits totaling $4,900.00 have been made with the Greene County Treasurers office for work release and weekend inmates.
Fayette County owes $14,300.00 for August 2011 inmate housing.

GENERAL DISCUSSION:
Some discussion regarding the implementation of inmate medical cost cap provisions from act 22. This implementation of changes which will provide you with access to significant savings on inpatient inmate medical costs, in many cases 50% or greater and possible even more on outpatient costs. Commissioner Snyder said that they will follow up with CCAP. The warden stated he should have more information when he attends the state conference in October.
PUBLIC COMMENT:
The next Prison Board meeting will be held at 11:45am on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 in the Commissioners meeting room.

Sheriff Ketchem made the motion and District Attorney Fox the second to adjourn the meeting. Vote unanimous.
