Prison Board Meeting Notes Greene County Board of Commissioners
The Prison Meetings are conducted on the third Thursday of the month (except for May and August, which will occur on the second Thursday) at 11:45 AM, following the Commissioners Meetings and held in the first floor meeting room. Quarterly meetings will be held at 12:00 noon at the Greene County Prison. Meeting dates and any changes will be posted publically in the local newspaper and on the county website at www.co.greene.pa.us.
The purpose of these board meetings are to review monthly business and happenings at the prison, as well as to vote on matters concerning the Greene County Prison.

Commissioner Trader called the Prison Board meeting to order. Others in attendance: Commissioner Zimmerman, Chief Clerk Jeff Marshall, John Kingston, Michael Kraus, Dave Balint, Carol Gooden, Charlotte Popielarcheck and Press. Commissioner Coder was absent. No quorum for official business.
Institutional misconduct reports for August – six (6) major infractions and eleven (11) minor infractions. Reportable extraordinary Occurrence Reports (EOR) for August – Zero (0).
A memorandum of agreement between the Fayette, Greene, and Washington Intermediate Unit I has been established. This document defines the responsibilities of the Intermediate Unit (IU1) and the Greene County Prison as it relates to the ABE/GED services provided to the facility. This agreement is effective from July 1, 2017 until June 30, 2018.
Will be conducting training for “Right to Know” on 09-27-17 here at the facility. This training covers the staff requirements for the use, distribution, and storage of all chemicals utilized at the facility.
Facility maintenance projects continue on schedule with the newly installed inter-com system almost complete. It was determined that the distance to G-Unit requires a mid-line relay and some adjustment to the current line, which IT and facility maintenance is currently working on. PSx is required to return pending their installation of new software and a final check from their technician.
Fayette County currently owes $12,500.00 for the month of September in regards to rental fees and currently owes $5,200.00 for the month of August.
Deposits totaling $2,160.00 have been made with the Treasurer’s Office for August work release and weekend males.
