WAYNESBURG, PA – Beginning Monday, Jan. 4, the Greene County Transportation Services program will extend its office hours to better serve its Greene County clients.
New office hours will be 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Calls to schedule appointments for transportation services must be made no later than noon on the day before a requested ride, and before noon on a Friday if the requested trip day is a Monday. Trips may also be scheduled up to two weeks in advance.
All out-of-county trips are for medical appointments scheduled between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Trips to Pittsburgh and Washington County will run every Monday, Wednesday and Friday; trips to Fayette County will run every Tuesday and Thursday; and trips to Morgantown, W.Va., will run Tuesdays.
Service hours will remain the same for in-county transportation clients.
Funding for the Greene County Transportation Services program is provided by the Greene County Board of Commissioners, the Pennsylvania Department of Aging, the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s Shared-Ride Program.
