The team will also randomly draw for winners of two additional cooler bag and thermos sets. All prize package arrangements were prepared by The Perfect Arrangement in Waynesburg.
Tickets will be sold for $1 each. Everyone who purchases a ticket will receive a Dick’s Sporting Goods Coupon Card, good for $10 off a purchase of $50 or more (limit one per person). A name and phone number must be included on every ticket purchased.
The Mario Lemieux-autographed puck was acquired by team member Tina King, administrative assistant for Child Care Information Services, who sent a letter to the Mario Lemieux Foundation. King wrote about her personal experiences with cancer, including taking her sister to her chemotherapy treatments as she fought stage-IV ovarian cancer and being diagnosed with borderline ovarian cancer herself.
"I asked for something signed by Mario that we could auction or raffle off," King said. "I knew he did a lot of things to help raise money for cancer research. The next thing I knew, I was getting a package from the Lemieux Foundation."
This year’s team co-captains were Cassie Bryan, economic development associate, and Mary Ann Dispenza, CCIS case management coordinator.
