WAYNESBURG, PA – The Greene County Department of Recreation will host a “Skate & Dance” event from 6 to 11 p.m. Friday, Jan. 8, at the Mon View Roller Rink and Community Center in Greensboro.
Admission is $5 for the skate, which will be held from 6 to 9 p.m., $4 for the dance, from 9 to 11 p.m., or $8 to attend both.
The January "Skate & Dance" is the first of five "Skate & Dance" events planned for the winter and spring at Mon View Roller Rink. Each event will be held the first Friday of each month through May, with the exception of the January event. The next “Skate & Dance” events are scheduled for Feb. 5, March 5, April 2 and May 7. All times and prices will remain the same.
Winter skating hours for Mon View are 7 to 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. Admission to skate is $4, or $5 with skate rental. General admission to the facility is $3.
Mon View is available to rent for private parties or corporate fundraisers at a rate of $120 for two hours. The price covers admission and skate rental for 20 people. A fee of $3 per additional person will be charged. Additionally, skate lessons at Mon View are available by appointment only.
