SECOND ANNUAL BUSINESS-TO-BUSINESS EXPO SET FOR MAY 8

News Release: March 3, 2010
Contact: Elizabeth Witte, Communications Director (724-852-5210)

Event Sponsors icons WAYNESBURG, PA – Regional businesses looking to market their services to the oil and gas industry are invited to attend the second annual Tri-County Oil & Gas Expo Business-to-Business event, scheduled for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 8, at the Washington County Fairgrounds in Washington, Pa.

Offering networking opportunities and a direct connection to the oil and gas companies working locally to develop the Marcellus Shale gas field, the Business-to-Business event will feature vendor exhibit space and informational break-out sessions presented by industry experts. Indoor and outdoor exhibit space is available for $150 a booth. The deadline to register for the event has been extended to Monday, March 15.

The three informational break-out sessions include "Getting on the List: How to Become a Qualified Vendor," "Seizing the Opportunity: Tools to Grow Your Business" and "Navigating Pennsylvania Regulations: What You Need to Know." The sessions will focus on ways local businesses can prosper from the positive economic impact of the Marcellus Shale development, said Andrew Corfont, Chairman of the Tri-County Oil & Gas Expo committee and assistant Vice President of Community Bank, an event co-sponsor.

"As local community leaders, we want to make sure that our hard-working and qualified local business people get every chance to participate in developing the Marcellus Shale," Corfont said.

Each Business-to-Business exhibitor will receive two complimentary tickets to the exclusive Networking Social, which will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 7, at the Hilton Garden Inn Southpointe in Canonsburg. The keynote speaker will be Ray Walker, Vice President of Operations for Range Resources Corp., Marcellus Shale division. Food and cocktails will be included.

Exhibitors will also receive a free business listing in the Tri-County Oil & Gas Expo annual support services directory, which will be distributed to all event attendees and oil and gas companies in the region, as well as published online.

Businesses that choose not to exhibit at the event can still advertise in the directory at a cost of $50. All additional listings are $25 each. Display advertising space is also available at varying rates and sizes.

"We are once again very excited with the advance registrations for this year’s event," Corfont said. "We have more than 125 businesses registered, and we anticipate many more registrations for the Expo."

The Tri-County Oil & Gas Expo committee includes representatives from Community Bank, the Greene and Washington County Commissioners, state Rep. Timothy Solobay, the Waynesburg Keystone Innovation Zone, Admiral Well Service, Direct Results/GreeneSaver, Laick Design, the Independent Oil and Gas Association of Pennsylvania, the Fayette-Washington Keystone Innovation Zone, the Pennsylvania CareerLinks of Fayette, Greene and Washington counties and the Mon Valley, Southwest Training Services, Inc., the University of Pittsburgh’s Institute for Entrepreneurial Excellence, the Washington Greene County Job Training Agency, Inc., and the Westmoreland/Fayette Workforce Investment Board.
