For Release: Dec. 13, 2011
Contact: Elizabeth Menhart, Communications Director/Tourism (724-852-5210)

WAYNESBURG, PA — Just in time for Christmas, ceramic mugs depicting seasonal shots of scenic Greene County are now available from the Greene County Tourist Promotion Agency.

The set of four mugs features four separate photos of Greene County locations – the illuminated Christmas tree in front of the Greene County Courthouse; the snow-covered Carmichaels Covered Bridge; the White Covered Bridge in Garards Fort surrounded by fall foliage; and a Rain Day banner and flowers in front of the courthouse. Each full-color photo is paired with one of Tourism’s seasonal logos. The mugs are white ceramic tumblers with white silicone lids.

The mugs are available for sale in the Tourism office, located at 19 S. Washington St. in downtown Waynesburg. Prices are $15 for one mug, $25 for any two or $50 for the set of four.

In addition to the new mugs, the Tourism office continues to sell the Greene County covered bridge puzzles. The series of seven puzzles – featuring photos of the Carmichaels, Cox Farm, King, Neddie Woods, Scott, Shriver and White bridges – can be purchased for $100 a set. Individual puzzles are being sold for $20.

Gift boxes and wrapping are available for any of these Greene County gifts. The Tourism office is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, although the office will be closed Friday, Dec. 23, Monday, Dec. 26, and Friday, Dec. 30.
