WAYNESBURG, PA For the fifth consecutive year, Greene County Recreation Director Jake Blaker has received an excellence in programming award from the Pennsylvania Recreation and Park Society, Inc.
Blaker accepted the award at a ceremony held March 22 during the 64th annual PRPS State Conference at Valley Forge Convention Center in King of Prussia, Pa.
"Being a small county that offers various programming similar to larger recreation departments across the state, and then being honored for the program’s quality, is a great compliment," Blaker said.
The PRPS is the Commonwealth’s recognized professional organization promoting healthy, high-quality recreation and park opportunities for all citizens of Pennsylvania through education, training and technical assistance to local, county, state and national recreation and park providers.
