Conservation District Announces Coloring Contest

The Greene County Conservation District would like to announce a coloring contest open to all Greene County Pre-K children. The top three entrants will receive new bicycles and helmets as prizes. Coloring pages that are to be used for the contest this year can be found on our website https://www.co.greene.pa.us/Department-Conservation-District and HERE.

We would ask that you add the child’s name, age, parent’s names and contact information on the back of the coloring page prior to submittal. We are asking for all entries to be received at our office by Friday, April 24th. They should be mailed and/or scanned or photographed and emailed to gccd@co.greene.pa.us . Additional sheets may be copied.

The theme this year for Soil and Conservation Week is “Where would we BEE without Pollinators?” We would encourage you to utilize the National Association of Conservation Districts’ website for more information about this year’s theme, including free educational resources and activities.( https://www.nacdnet.org/general-resources/stewardship-and-education-materials/2020-where-would-we-bee-without-pollinators/ )

Entries are to be submitted to the Greene County Conservation District at 22 W. High St., Suite 204, Waynesburg, PA 15370. Entries must be received at the Conservation District by Friday, April 24th.
