Greene County Secures $200,000 Grant for Wisecarver Development
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
WAYNESBURG – The Greene County Commissioners would like to recognize and congratulate the Greene County Department of Planning and Community Development and Department of Recreation for their recent award for the Wisecarver Recreation Area in Franklin Township. On April 23 2020 our team submitted a grant application and yesterday, the County was awarded a $200,000, PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) Grant to work on the construction of an access drive, parking area, pedestrian walkways, softball fields and stormwater management measures. Additionally, the project will include the installation of bleachers, ADA access, landscaping and other related site improvements when it is fully funded.
