To comply with the settlement made by the Pennsylvania Department of State, the County purchased new voting systems with a voter-verifiable paper trail. The money for these systems had been set aside in 2016 from Act 13 Impact fees, and reibursement, in part, is expected from Federal and State sources.
The new system performed well in the 2019 Primary and General Elections and are being programmed and deployed for the 2020 PrimaryElection on June 2nd, 2020.
While the new system is very much like the old system, there are a few differences, since every vote must be backed up by a paper ballot. Note that these video's were made by the manufacturer and are not specific to the state of Pennsylvania but the process is the same.
