The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program is an ongoing federal program which provides support to low and moderate income neighborhoods. Under this program, eligible community groups can receive grants for a wide range of projects which address housing, economic and human service needs of low and moderate income residents and neighborhoods.

The Competitive program is available to all Greene municipalities that are not direct federal recipients (non-entitlement) of CDBG funds and state Act 179 entitlement municipalities with a population less than 10,000. The Greene County Commissioners prioritize Sewage and Water Infrastructure improvements. Competitive Program is $700,000 maximum for project cost.
