Draft Greene County Comprehensive Plan Update

The Draft Greene County Comprehensive Plan Update is now available for public review and comment.

This document was developed collaboratively with public and stakeholder input as a decision-making guide for elected and appointed officials of Greene County for years to come. It contains goals and strategies that will help the County and its municipalities achieve a collective vision for the future. 

The comment period will commence on Thursday, July 18, 2019 and end on Tuesday, September 3, 2019. Comments, in writing, should be forwarded to Greene County Planning Commission (Jkelly@co.greene.pa.us) or by mail: Attn: Jeremy L. Kelly  – 49 S. Washington Street, Waynesburg, PA 15370 no later than 4 p.m. on Tuesday, September 3, 2019. 
 

2019 Comprehensive Plan Update

  • This comprehensive plan is the County's official statement of its vision, goals and objectives as well as the guide for the future development. It serves as a reference point for the Greene County Board of Commissioners development and budget decisions and capital improvements priorities.

Greene County Planning Commission

The vision of the Greene County Planning Commission focuses on promoting the safety and security of its community by following smart growth practices, enforcing the Greene County Subdivision and Land Ordinance (SALDO), and by using the PMC as the main planning tool.
