Perry Township

Perry Township

Perry Township incorporated in 1841-42. It is the location of the western most point surveyed as part of the Mason & Dixon Line in 1767. In the early 1800's Perry Twp. was part of the Western frontier and immigrant families carved farms out of the forested hills. In the late 1800's oil and gas was discovered here, bringing considerable prosperity to many of the Townships residents. Perry Township is in 18th Congressional District, the 46th Senatorial District, and the 50th Legislative District of Pennsylvania.
