Lions Club to present annual July 4th Community Celebration

The Waynesburg Lions Club will present its annual July 4th Community Celebration at the Greene County Fairgrounds, offering a full day of activities and entertainment.

The festivities will kick off with the traditional Pancake Breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m. at the 4-H Building; admission is $6 per person, and children ages 6 and under eat for free.

There will be a Car, Truck and Bike Show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., followed by the Little Miss Firecracker Pageant at 6 p.m. on the main grandstand.

From 7 to 9 p.m., the event will offer live music featuring the Townsmen plus One in front of the main grandstand, followed by the Dedication and Presentation of Colors by the Waynesburg American Legion and VFW at 9:15 p.m. There will be patriotic music performed after that.
 
The traditional fireworks display is expected to begin at approximately 9:30 p.m.

Rocky Ridge Acres will provide free wagon rides from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Lions Club will also be selling food and concessions from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and from 5 to 9 p.m.

This patriotic event is being sponsored by the Greene County Commissioners and Consol Energy.
