•    Passengers will be picked up at their homes, driven to their destinations and then returned to their homes. Any passenger who does not need a return trip home must tell the Transportation staff member taking the trip request.
•    A transportation associate will tell passengers approximately what time they will be picked up. Passengers must be ready to leave when the driver arrives. The driver may be up to 15 minutes early or late and still be considered on time.
•    The driver will provide reasonable assistance when passengers are boarding and leaving the vehicle.
•    Paying passengers are asked to pay the driver upon boarding the bus (exact change is required).
•    All passengers are expected to be cooperative, wear their seatbelts and demonstrate appropriate behavior at all times.
•    Any passenger in a wheelchair must be properly secured by the driver.
•    For the safety and comfort of all passengers, the following actions are prohibited:
o    Smoking, eating or drinking
o    Standing or walking in a moving vehicle
o    Operating a personal radio
o    Fighting or using abusive language

•    Drivers are authorized to stop only for scheduled appointments. All other stops must be pre-approved through the Transportation office.
•    Passengers who have a medical reason and a doctor’s verification may have an escort accompany them on a trip at no charge. Advance arrangements need to be made.
•    Passengers must make the Transportation office aware of any special needs when calling for a ride.
•    Passengers unable to make a scheduled trip must call the Transportation office at least two hours in advance to cancel. Anyone who does not cancel will be considered a "no show."
•    Passengers who miss their ride should call the Transportation Office immediately.

•    Where do you go out of county and what times?
This is listed in the brochure. All our out of county appointments are to be between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. and must be medical in nature. We go to Washington County on Mondays Wednesdays and Fridays; Uniontown on Tuesdays and Thursdays; and to the hospitals in downtown Pittsburgh on Mondays and Wednesdays and Morgantown on Tuesdays.

•    Can I call the same day for a trip?
No. All trips must be prescheduled. All riders must be preregistered and the trip request must be made at the latest, 12:00 noon the day before the schedule request. (It is recommended to call 4-5 days in advance of the trip requested).

•    What is my pickup time?
The pickup time for your trip is determined by the number of riders scheduled to go on a particular day. This time will vary day to day even if you are riding to the same destination daily. You can call between 2:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. the day before your trip to get an approximate pickup time. Remember, the van can be 15-20 minutes early or late from your time and still get you to your appointment on time.

•    I need to go to the pharmacy after my doctor’s appointment; can I just inform the driver?
No. All stops must be prescheduled ahead of time. When you make your schedule request you need to inform the reservationist that you will need to go to the pharmacy after your doctor’s appointment so the trip can be scheduled in. If you do not need to go to the pharmacy, we can cancel that trip but we cannot add a trip in the same day.

•    I am in a wheelchair. Can I still be transported?
Yes. All of our vehicles are wheelchair accessible. If you are not in a wheelchair the drivers are allowed to “arm assist” you to the vehicle. Oversize wheelchairs and “scooters” can be transported if there is a trip that has the capacity with the other clients scheduled. You must inform the reservationist when you schedule if you have an oversized wheelchair. The drivers can assist you from your door to the vehicle and will secure the wheelchair when inside the vehicle (the drivers are not allowed in your residence).
