Magisterial District Judge Glenn Bates


December 29, 2011 — Glenn Bates took the Oath of Office after being re-elected in the November 2011 general election. Mr. Bates ran unopposed in both the primary and the general elections; representing Magisterial District 2, which covers Jefferson and Clarksville Boroughs, and Franklin, Jefferson, Morgan, Perry, Washington, and Whiteley Townships. Bates was sworn into office on January 2, 2006; officially assuming his duties for the office of Magisterial District Judge District 2 (13-03-02) for a 6-year term.

Mr. Bates, a 28-year veteran of Waynesburg Borough Police Department, was elected District Judge in the General Elections on November 8, 2005; after winning both the Democratic and Republican nominations for the position in the 2005 primary, and running unopposed in the November 2005 general election. He replaced District Judge Neil Canan, who retired from office.
