Magisterial District Judge Tom Ankrom



Ankrom, 46, of Franklin Township, carried the nominations of both parties for District 13-3-02, following the primary election in May of 2023 and was elected to the office of Magisterial District Judge after winning the general election in November of the same year. Judge Ankrom was sworn into office on December 29th, 2023, and took the bench on January 2nd, 2024. Ankrom's term expires on 01-01-2030 (6 years).

 

Judge Ankrom, a life long resident of the Waynesburg area, resides on a small farm in Franklin Township with his wife, Kelly and two children, Matthew and Morgan.  

Previously, Ankrom was a nineteen-year veteran of the Waynesburg Police Department, retiring as the Chief of Police in August of 2022. Ankrom's past law enforcement experiences included patrol duties, School Resource Officer and Department Criminal Investigator.  

 

District 13-3-02 covers Jefferson and Clarksville Boroughs along with Morgan, Jefferson and Franklin Townships.
